    2011 Scalpel single speed-able?

    the rear is pivotless, so the BB to rear hub will stay almost the same, so it is single speedable (with an ENO hub, or finding the right "magic gears")

    I'm not asking if this is a GOOD idea, I dont think it is, and that is not what this bike is made for, just wondering if it COULD be done

    You would need a spring loaded tension device. You used the right word:

    Almost, but not quite. There is no physical pivot between the BB and rear wheel but the flex makes the distance between the two points change as if there was a pivot somewhere along the chainstays, so there will be a bit of chain tension change through the travel...
