    2011 Scalpel Issue

My left seat stay shredded in almost the middle. Carbon is all intact and untorn, just like there was never any resin there. Anyone else have an issue like this? There were no impacts, seemed to happen after a hard compression (not a drop) in a turn.

Well, it sounds like a warranty.

I would say get it to the cdale dealer and get another frame from cdale.

I don't recall hearing of the carbon failing like that.

Yeah, thought it was probably a fluke thing. The replacement should already be ordered.

That does sound like a manufacturing defect to me. I can't imagine you'll have any trouble getting it fixed under warranty. Hopefully they will have a replacement in stock for you.

    Good luck,
    Pete
I can barely get my mouth around it.
