    2008 Scalpel w/ tapered fork

I've searched but can't find any information on this. BTW, i bought only the frame. So, please don't ask whats wrong with the lefty. I wish i could afford one.

My 2008 Scalpel has SI headset that has the bearings pressed directly into the headtube. I was hopeing i could get a Cane Creek 40 series in there but i think there isn't enough depth for them to fit in all the way. Has anyone tried this on a SI frame? I want to mount a tapered fork and was hoping there is a way with a "typical" headset instead of the KP205 kit that seems to be my only option. Is there even a headset that will install into this frame for a tapered fork?

Or, i am having massive issues finding the KP205 in stock anywhere in the USA. Does anyone know a trusted place to order that kit from?

    Thanks.

Dr. Cannondale in Germany also has and is trusted. I posted a similar thread regarding my trigger dr cannondale and qwerty cycles were the two I found and will work for you.

usually takes around 9-14 days from europe. my whole bike build was held back by this one little part it was very annoying but worth it in the end. ill prob be ordering another set just to keep as a spare. keep us updated as to when it arrives and your experiences ordering from there.

Ordered Dec 26 and delivered Jan 2. Maybe the delivery service was still in holiday overdrive, but, 7 days and i can't complain.

After all that, does anyone know what the 3 micro thin washers are for? I just can't figure out where they are supposed to go.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I just couldn't figure out where they went since they seem completely useless.
