    2008 Scalpel pricing

I just checked out the new catalog yesterday and was really surprised at the pricing. For a similarly speced bike, the Scalpel 1 is over $1000 more than the carbon Rush 2.

I know it's new and cool and all - but over $1000 more for this frame?

Anybody know why this is the case?

    Probably a few reasons:

made in USA frame as previously noted
the flexing chainstays/seatstays and link are more expensive to produce than a simple aluminum swingarm
Its new, cool and people will pay extra for that, supply and demand folks.

I am hoping for a team deal as we have quite a few riders interested.
