    2008 Scalpel chainstay info

    hey,
    I remember reading it somewhere over MTBR forums, I think its cannondale forum, some guy posted a magazine scan bout the new scalpel chainstay, it says something bout being able to flex 4" and etc. It shows the LTD model, but I cant find the pic. Care to help?

    That? This is not the limited uber-light model, that's the Team Replica.

    thanks, the Team Replica weights 10kg is it? while the ultra light is 8.5?

    Around 10kg yes (22.5 lbs for the North American Team Replica, around 18.25 for the ultra light, ultra expensive, ultra limited version), but it's easy to drop more weight from a Team Replica. I have a few idea of my own...

    have you ordered it yet? Oh yeah and dont forget to post the weight of the frame alone , and you know what, 07 Cannondale site states they dont list bike weight cuz of blah blah blah, it seems 08 Cannondale lists bike weight. Haha

    Not yet, gotta sell some old bikes first... but these frames might not be ready before winter hits up here so there is no rush. I already have a few parts laying around that are waiting a nice light fast frame as a home.

    I am looking at getting a frame at employee discount and doing a trade in with an old road frame. I am not enamored of all the parts on the team version and the 100 (not available in the US) has parts a little fragile for racing in the rocks and cactus of Arizona. A few choice component upgrades plus the lighter frame should hopefully get me over a pound under my current 22.5lb Scalpel weight
