2008 scalpel, Alu or Carbon. What do we think?
I've made my mind up, i want a 2008 scalpel to replace my Rush. But which frame Alu or Carbon. I'm swapping all my gear over from the Rush to the Scalpel so specs not a worry it's just the frame. Only one bike mag in the UK have tasted both back to back and they voted for...........The alu version.
What do we think then?

I'd go with the alu also, if it has BB30. and I'm not sure about that...

Strangely the Scalpel 3 frame we bought in as a warranty had a BB30 and we had to press in an adaptor. I dont know why they do a BB30 alloy frame and have one Carbon frame (the 2) in the range with a standard threaded BB shell???? The Carbon is lighter by about 1/4 lb and laterally stiffer. I think the carbon rides a little smoother, but its a small difference.

I have try both the Alum, and the Carbon. I dont know WHy but the Carbon feels much nicer than the Alum. It also had different components, but If you can afford the Carbon, I would go for it...
