    2008 Cannondale Perp?

Any rumors whether there will be any changes or improvements to the current Perp frames for 2008? Excluding possible new paint jobs, of course.

The perp is a new model for the 2007 so no way for changes in 2008. Probably some changes in the prophet line.

I was mainly wondering about small incremental changes, similar to like specialized adding few extra gussets to 08 sx trails where they most likely snapped. Since this is the first year for Perp, it would be easy to imagine that people bashing their bikes would reveal some weak spots?

I know Specialized do make a lot of incremental changes, (quite quickly) to their bikes...

Could this be due to poor testing?

Maybe Cdale conducts proper testing "before" release? my impression (probably wrong) is that cdale doesn't really make that many incremental changes to their bikes after release... Maybe it's that Spec has a faster more involved (with management, etc) development team and CDales development team is less involved with these management type decisions so is unable to follow those routes...
    No idea...

Sorry that was a bit random...

I believe that besides the upgraded shocklink that is now offered as a kit : http://www.cannondale.com/asset/iu_f...echnote_en.pdf nothing will be different except the colouring.
Look at the Judge: 2nd year in production and no tweaks besides the colours, not to mention the Gemini.

Interesting. A proven WC winner. I guess it's not selling well.

Probably not as a whole bike but I would bet it will be a frameset for sure...

If I were Cannondale.....I would drop the Judge and make the following changes to the Perp.

    1. Lower BB height by 0.5"
    2. Change shock size to 9.5" x 3.0"
    3. Change travel settings to 210mm and 180mm
    4. Slacken the HA in the 210mm to be 64 degrees with an 8 inch fork

In my opinion this would make the Perp a very versastile DH/FR rig.

What do you mean by "3.0 shock are over"?

You HA may be 64 but your BB is over 15"! Way too high.

From my sources i have heard that there will be more than 2 price options for the perp, so i imagine there will be one at a similar price to the current gemini

i think 200mm and 67° HD is the solution. because with 64°HD you cant enough push the fork

If you check in the Cannondale's website under Tech notes you'll see that the pdf file for the bug states that the problem is occuring on both 2007 Judge and Perp.
