    2006 f800

    Hi all,
I just picked up an '06 F800 with the Lefty speed DLR2 for $450. They included the lefty fork mount adapter for my roof rack and a pannier rack. Everything is in good working order.

    How'd I do?

    Thanks.
I'm coming from a 2008 Specialized Rockhopper disc, so its a pretty nice upgrade in components.

So, seeing as how the bike is 6 years old and who knows when (if?) the last service to the lefty was done, should I be riding it now? Or should I send it off before the summer?

What is the basic maintenance that I could do? Basically, the things anyone should do to to a used bike with a lefty. I've read about resetting the bearings and changing the oil? Is that something I should do ASAP?

I also ride alot on thorny single track trails...is there a beefier boot that I could use? I already have a small hole in the one on there right now, but have a feeling the same thing might happen soon after I replace it.
