    150+mm Lefty?

Has there ever been a 150+mm Lefty or do you think it will ever be made?

Doubt it... if they were going to develop one it would have been on the Jekyll... Love to see a 160mm... I'd put that on my Spez Enduro SL in a heart beat!

That being said I wounder if there is any technical reason they haven't built a longer travel version.

That would be some good engineering project and I too would really like to see a 150 or 160mm travel Lefty

I guess if you are upping the travel you'd have to make a few changes to beef them up - some ideas: stronger/larger needle bearings/races, corresponding larger outer tube, larger axle/fork interface (hollow??), corresponding larger hub.

The structure itself is sturdy enough, but they won't be doing it.

The primary issue arises from insufficient support from the needle bearing strips once deep into the travel. They messed around and found that beyond 140, it started to produce characteristics they weren't happy with, premature surface wear being a primary one, fore to aft flex when used fully and "properly" as a fork of that length would be.

Cool idea, but nope, ain't gonna happen....

That's too bad. A 160mm Lefty would be on my 575 as soon as I could get a hold of one.
