    Yelli Mixer?

Has anyone tried mixed wheels on their Yelli? My 2013 Yelli is currently set up with:

    - 29” WTB Asym i29 rims front and rear
    - Specialized Butcher front and Ground Control rear
    - RS Yari 120 mm fork
    - 175 mm cranks

Really enjoy the bike as is but would like it just a little slacker, plusher and with a little more travel. So after reading some Foes Mixer reviews I started thinking about doing a mixed wheel setup on my Yelli:

    - Keep my existing front wheel
    - Rebuild my rear wheel with a 27.5” Asym i29 rim
    - Maxxis Recon 2.6 front and rear (or keep the Butcher front and put a Slaughter on the rear)
    - Convert the Yari to 140 mm with a new air shaft
    - Maybe install some 170 mm cranks

Would this work or would I hate myself…?

While it would be an interesting experiment, running a 2.6 anything in the back of an EPO will grind the chainstay yolk to dust. I can easily get 2.35"s to rub the chainstays when hammering on the pedals.

Man, tension that wheel. I have a 2.8 Recon o a 30id rim and it has about 5-6mm per side. I've had good luck but I'm a light 150 lbs and not a masher, I'm guessing your a power house of a rider.
