suspension design and sag / ex bmxers riding the riot

I've always favored pedaling over-gunned bikes on xc. Does the sag insensitive design of the balance allow one to run the rear stiffer that the typical 30% sag?

I'm asking because on paper and my past bike history, the balance seems like the ticket. However I have the lingering feeling that I'm not the rider I was 15 years ago in terms of what I'm willing to jump off anymore. Also considering a riot.

Considering the riot, I'm afraid to give up the nimbleness of small wheels. I'm willing to admit that this could be unfounded as my time riding 29" bikes could be measured in minutes. That's why I'm interested in knowing if any retired bmxers are riding the riot and what there thoughts are.

    Current bikes:
    2013 Kona Process (170/150 travel)
    2003 Specialized P1

The riot is not a dud xc 29er. To me, it is a do what you want bike that is very snappy and playful. it handles steep stuff well and pedals trails too.

I have not ridden a balance yet, but it seems like a tank that will do best when ridden at speed.
