Observations from behind on today's ride: fast, quiet and tracks like a bloodhound. Steve will have to fill in the details from the saddle. And by the way, it looks even better in person.

    My Yelli Build

Don't know why the Bros changed the Yelli green for 2013. That wasabi color is great!

I agree, glad I got one of the last 2012's.

Anyway, on to the ride report.

First ride was a little over 10 mile of familiar trail in the Albuquerque foot hills. I wanted to ride something I knew well To see how the new ride stacked up to my old one.
First thing I noticed was how well it handled it took tight switchbacks that were difficult with my old 29er with ease. It felt very natural and confidence inspiring, I found myself taking the harder lines that I only considered before without hesitation. I found it to be more stable and controllable when going slow grinding through rock gardens.

The Tower Pro fork is also outstanding, it is plush and stiff and responsive. It felt 100% better than the 2012 Reba RL on my other 29er. I haven't even really played wit setting it up yet and it feels great. I set the compression in the middle, swapped in a heavier spring, and guessed at 90psi.

The Zee is my first clutched derailleur and I'm really impressed. I neer realized how much noise my old stuff made until I rode today. Zee is quiet, smooth shifting. I like the shifting feel better than my 9speed X9 setup.

I could go on and on buy I'll just wrap up by saying I really love this bike!

How is the clearance with the Zee 36t, and how is the chainline? I am considering a Zee but wondered whether I'd have to use 2 drive side spacers for a 34t or larger?

He is using a 32t chainring on a Raceface crank, the Zee part is the rear derailer. And you will need to space out the crank for anything bigger than a 33t chainring.
