I get so many compliments on my Chrome N9

It's getting dangerous for my wife to ride behind me because everyone has to do a double take of my Chrome N9. She says they usually say a little under their breath, "Nice bike." The main Single Track I ride is in a park where there are a big mix of people doing different things and even the the non-mountain bikers go out of their way to tell me I have a nice bike. Coming from a POS Airbourne bike I am not used to the attention Funny thing is no one I have stopped and talked to has even heard of Canfield Brothers bikes here in Florida.

As nice as the bike looks it rides even better. Light and nimble and I love the way the front wheel is easy to get in the air. When I put power down on the pedals the bike just takes off. I couldn't be happier... and we don't have mountains here

That's cool. A friend wanted a chrome N9. He was so disappointed when he found out that they don't make them anymore. Maybe the Bros will make a limited addition. I raced an Enduro last weekend and got a lot of compliments on my Balance. Also saw a N9 there. Canfield bike are so cool.

I'd love to have a chrome n9. And wish now I would have gotten my riot in raw. But either way I love my Canfield bikes all 3 of them

Dangit, I didn't know that! I was set on getting one till a Yelli popped up on Craigslist for a price I couldn't pass up.

I still want one for a SS. Looks like I'll have to find a used one, unless they do end up doing a limited run in the future.

I'd never sell mine but I bet a used Chrome N9 in good condition would go fast and for a good price. Canfield Bros redid their website and the main pic that comes up has two raw bikes that look really good.

Wonder why they quit making the Chrome N9? I thought it was popular.

My friend got a black one when the 2016s were on closeout, and I would have gotten a chrome one but all they had left was a medium. I was seriously considering getting a medium, then my friend found a large in the classifieds, but I had just figured it wasn't in the cards. They do turn up every once in a while.

He doesn't keep bikes forever and likes to pass them on, so it's only a matter of time, lol! I'd have no problem stripping that black right off there. I've done raw chrome frames before, but never polished them, that might look really cool with some new decals!

My Yelli has the raw Al finish, and I have a chromed out Bianchi SASS!

I would love a chrome N9. We should do a poll of how many people would buy one. If there's enough interest, maybe they would do a limited run. I would buy one and at least one friend would also.

    Sweet!
I don't often hear comments/compliments, but it usually is something like "dude, that is one hot bike."

And yes, the similarity to the old-skool BMX is just one thing I really like about it.

What is the upkeep to keep the polish looking really shiny? How often do you have to rebuff?

SOS pads and water. I'll redo it prob 3-4 months. Gives me a chance to totally tear down the bike and clean/lube the bearings.

Looks good.. what kind of fork do you have? Are you running 27.5 or 29?

I have some gouge marka from crashes. All the sos pad is cleaning the surface. Its not removing material. Being shiny does make it harder to see scratches tho

My frame has microscopic "brush marks" from brushing dried mud off certain spots. A few weeks ago I had it all apart and waxed the entire frame with car wax. The mud pretty much just pops off of it now.
I previously tried using "Ice" car finish. It didn't last very long at all.

    Thanks!
That's the VooDoo Zombie 500 fork. It will always run 29, but I am up to 29x2.5/2.4 F/R. As shown it's 2.4/2.3.

The chrome reminds me of my early 80s BMX days when all the bikes were chrome.

Canfield needs to do a special edition of chrome N9. Someone, that knows how to start a poll, needs to start one. I'll put a deposit down. Hell I'll put the full price down and wait. I want a N9. And I would really love for it to be CHROME!

Yep, that was me too. I was the kid in the neighborhood that would jump nearly anything when no one else would. I'm just sorry I didn't discover mountain biking until a few years ago. Living in Florida for the past 20 years didn't help me discover this great sport.
