    2014 Jedi Question

So with the trend of DH bikes returning to shorter travel with the average being 8" to be more poppy and responsive, I'm curious why the brothers bumped the Jedi to 9.5" for 2014. Believe me, I'm sure they know what their doing making changes. Anybody know what the design intent was this evolution?

I read 9" vertical and 2.5" rearward. That being said 8 vs 9 is not such a gap. The ccdb will allow you to fine tune your suspension enough to gain back the poppyness your looking for. The brothers are always improving their design and I doubt seriously they dont care about jumping and hopping stuff. They can answer your question probably with details. I am not worried at all here.

The Jedi's that had the three shock mounts ran 8.1, 8.3 and 8.5 travel. The new Jedi will only have one shock mount and travel goes up to 9". With more travel, we where able to back off the progression rate slightly to give a deeper, smoother feel and feel even more confidence inspiring. I've been wanting a BIG bike again and it's on it's way!
