2015 Canfield Brothers Riot 29er FS

Have about 70mm space to fit tires on Riot, so answer is no/maybe. 2.6 tires are about 66mm, which does not leave much space for flex/mud ect..

2,6 nobby nic on i35 rim fits really tight (approx 2mm each side gap)
No go for me. Wheels moved to banshee phantom.
New plan to run Riot with 2,6 27,5 wheels (i35 rims), 150mm fork

I rub chainstays under power with a Minion 2.5, on 'traditional' width Canfield wheels... I'm going to be heading back to 2.3s once I get a little more wear.

Hey racefit, let me know if you try it. I have a 2.4" on-one chunky monkey currently mounted on the rear of my Riot and on a 35mm rim and it measures right a 65mm wide (wider than my 2.5 DHRII WT). Lots of room between the seat stays but the chainstays are where it might be tough to fit a bigger tire. Right now I have 4mm on the non-drive side and 3mm on the drive side. I do not get any rubbing under load but if the tire was much bigger I might. Still, I may try a 2.6" specialized Butcher and if it does not work then I'll use it as a front tire eventually.
