What's the deal with this ETSX-70?

The closest paint job I can find on bikes.com is the 2004 ETSX-70 (polished and white). This one, however, is a little different. Any idea where they came from? If they were what the frame onlys looked like or something? Thanks.

It's a 2003. They were available as complete bikes and frame-only.

    and other differences

In 2004 they went with different tubing, the newer downtubes are bigger in diameter and not the shaped tubing set that came from the other "out of bounds" bikes like the Flow and Slayer. More important tho' they changed the top pivots on the "seat stay" to a clevis type mounting for more stability.they also changed the suspension arms to silver anodized finish. They also switched to the Fox Float AVA Pro Pedal shock in 04.

... and if we just ... plus...the shock is upside down...

Why have a lock-out when you can't reach it in that position.

    Doh!
