    Spice mods

Has anyone ever messed with the linkage under the top bar of a spice to get a bit more travel? I was looking at my Slayer beside my wife's spice and wondering if you could put the linkage from a slayer onto a spice.

Never tried this, although I had a chance to buy the rocker links from a Slayer back when I had a Spice. Given that you have a Slayer kicking around, it might be worth experimenting. Swap the links, leave the spring off the shock and move rear triangle through it's travel by hand to make sure it doesn't contact anything.

Be aware that you would probably be increasing the leverage ratio on the shock, increasing the risk that you might blow it. Also, I would be concerned with how the geometry might get messed up. If the rear end gets jacked up, you would need a longer fork to retain the same angles.
