    Slayer Question

    I may be a little late since I bought one already but may be selling.

    One person on here said if you look at a Slayer, the front triangle seems comperable to a Heckler-style bike, while the rear end seems almost identical to an RM Element. They look a bit miss matched. And I've never heard of a Slayer front triangle failing. Thanks for the reminder, I will check it over carefully.

    Anybody know WHY the bike doesn't have beefier rear stays and yoke?

    The rear is like the one on the Element but it is beefier. I like the way the Slayer rides and it's about 4-5 pounds lighter than the Heckler. It all depends what kind of riding you do.

    Pufdup is right. I have a Element (Instinct actually... same frame) and he has a Slayer. His rear end although it looks very similar it has more material in the chain and seatstay tubes and is beefed up a bit. The bike handles some impressive stuff and asks for more.

    Pufdup loves to do 4-5 foot drops and his bike holds up beautifully.

    They keep changing the chainstay yoke arrangement to make it stronger, although if it breaks they will replace it for you (but it still sucks that they sometimes break, and never at the trail head) That being said I'm big and ride fairly aggressively and haven't broke a chainstay yet {touch wood}
    it tied the room together man!
