    Good job! New Canadian toy!

Well, it took me about three weeks to finish, but here she is:

Yes, I know I goofed on the pics. I was playing around with the flash settings on the camera, as it's already pretty dark by 4 pm.

It's an 18,5" frame - same signature on the downtube as my Instinct, by the way - and is a little small for my 6 ft., but with 130 mm stem I'm okay. The stem may be flipped - I've got the feeling there's just a tad too little weight on the front end for my liking.

    Part spec
Frame: 2001 or 2002 (I think '02 judging from the TT diameter) Vertex
Fork: 2002 Marathon (thank you Jos!)
    Derailleurs: old XT & X.0
    Stem: RaceFace Deus
Cranks: RaceFace Turbine w/ square DeoreXT BB-unit
    Post: Thomson Elite
Wheels: my old race-only ones, DT hubs, XC717 rims, DT Revo spokes
Cogset: DuraAce for the moment. Will get something w/ more range this summer.
    Brakes: Hope Mini 160/160

Weight is around 10 kg, but that isn't an issue to me.

I'm well happy with my Vertex hope you like yours!

Are those 80 or 100 forks?

    This Marathon is 80 mm

I think it should suffice, and the geo is spot-on with this. Because the Marathon is quite tuneable (pos. and neg. air chambers) I can get a reasonable amount of travel out of it.
