Kona Dawg Primo or Rocky Mtn ETSX 50

These 2 bikes are very similar in geometry, travel and price. But if you had to choose between either one where would you go? and why?

    No ?

The ETSX is a far better bike. I have ridden many bikes including the Dawg, with the faux bar suspension design and none of them felt very good to me. The ETSX is the best pedaling bike I have ever been on and the suspension still stays active enough to suck up everything. If you have it narrowed down to these two bikes you would be doing yourself an injustice to go with the Kona.

    The 2005 X50 was priced at $2799.00

Travel to 5 inches rear, longer eye to eye Fox RP3 with lower shock ratio, new quick release, 12mm through axils on rear end and boxed tubes in the rear stays to name a few alterations to a great design. Changing the suspension from 4 to 5 now slackens the head tube by .5 degrees. I agree with Johnny Hair as this bike is your all day trail machine. Good luck in your search!
