    ETSX Trailriders

Saw the review of a few years back on dirt rag online but wanted to hear from you
I'm thinking of trading my Slayer in for one

How does it ride, all around

Especially pedaling, climbing, geometry and cornering "feel" and activity of the suspension

    thanks!

You need to find one of the newer reviews of an '04 or '05 model. It is a completely different bike with the longer travel fork, stiffer frame, and different BB height. They have only gotten better with time!

I just got an ETSX-70. Aside from a problem of the seatpost sliding into the frame that was remedied with an aluminum post I love it. I enjoyed the 30 I demoed but the 70 just jumps man. Great response. Great climbing. Wonderful performance all around.

After looking at the Element and the ETSX I settled for the ETSX 30. Love it. Still trying to figure out all the settings on front & back (my first bike with any kind of suspension).

First thing I would do is dial the front suspension down 3-4 clicks. I did this and it made all the difference in the world for me. Did you get the flare color?

Yup, got the Flare. Not sure what you mean by dialing it down 3 or 4 clicks. Front shock Left (blue) dial? What about the back? I don't do alot of jumping or technical (yet) so I've set it at 3.5" travel.

That should be the one...only one that clicks. I have my rear travel set at 4" so your mileage may vary. Experiment.

I bought an '04 ETSX-70 and loved it. It is a very fast and agile All Mountain bike that climbs and handles like a Cross Coutry racer.

In my opinion, the ETSX-30 t is an *incredible* bike. I posted a rave about my new one above.
