    Banshee Chaparral Fork Decision

    Banshee Chap - what do u guys think> Fox40 888 or Manitou? FR/DH

    Which Manitou?

    I would be tempted to say Fox 40, and I believe you can adjust the travel internally, so you could set it a bit lower at like 7" if you wanted, depending on the terrain.
    Personally, I run an 8" Boxxer World Cup on mine and find it to be excellent. I wouldn't mind trying 7" up front, even 5" feels great on this bike!

    With what rear shock? And when you say FR/DH, do you mean smoother high speed trails, or gnarly technical slow speed, or trails with lots of hucks/man-made stunts, or what? The more information you can give, the better. Also, if one brand has superior local support, that might be a good reason to go a certain way.

    Unfortunately, I don't know what kind of axle to crown height the Travis forks have in comparison to my Boxxer, so I would have a hard time picking between the 203 and the 180 in regards to what changes they would make to the feel of the ride.
