    2005 a-line front derailleur

    is it possible to mount a front derailleur and small chainring on a 2005 a-line?

    Yes, but it takes a bit of work. A derailleur will fit on the little stub on your frame. You will have to fabricate a cable stop and use a bottom pull derailleur. The bad part about the Aline is they used Truvativ single ring cranks, so you will have to find a drive side dual ring crank.

    Alternatively you can use the Envy Double E system and don't use a derailleur, but you will still need a new crank, and you have to manually shift the chain by hand. The plus side with this system is that it doubles as a chain retention system.
