You talking about that low hanging branch?

Everyone at least "almost" hits their head on that thing. You gotta be a contortionist to miss that thing w/o getting off the bike.

That thing had gotten me TWICE... even knowing its there. Takes the "flow" out of that turn, but now I stop and walk / straddle the bike through.

Considering that it (could be) a safety hazard if someone didn't know it was there, would it be appropriate for some "trail maintenance" there?

I'm not one for sanitizing trails, or unauthorized work . . . but that branch is certainly a problem.

Edit: and the last time I rode through there, I ducked it without stopping
Alcohol may lead nowhere, but it sure is the scenic route!

I'm doing some diligent trail maintenance with my forehead every time I ride that trail.

^^ What time are you looking to start? Normally I could help out, but a friend is coming from out of town, and our plans are up in the air...

You might want to post this up in the general Socal forum so that more people see it, and you could cross-post it on STR (socaltrailriders.com). Good luck! Conditions should be good after the rain.

All that talk about "Bent Arrow-Broken Arrow-Car Wreck" has me yearning for a ride through there. Think I'm gonna hit it up in the morning with a Caballero/Mulholland/Bent Arrow/Caballero run.

Foul habits, I ride many freeride spots and poaches from San Diego to Simi and from Santa Monicas to San Jacinto. I ride the greater LA area Mondays and Saturday mornings.

I am visiting and will love to ride with more people that know the trails.
I am an intermediate rider not fast at all at the moment I was told to go check Aliso-Wood Canyon, Whats the difference between Aliso and Laguna Coast?
Since that will actually be closer to me after that and if times permit I might ride El Morro on Sunday.

At what time are you planning to ride on Saturday?

^^ Big Laguna is in San Diego County. Aliso and Laguna Coast are similar. Aliso is more crowded, but easier to find your way around. If you go you should drop Rock-it, it's a fun intermediate trail, as is Lynx. Laguna Coast/El Moro is bigger with more s/t, but you really need a guide to put it together (although a good short loop would be to start at the Nix Center and take Stagecoach east-Serrano-Camarillo-Stagecoach). I'd help but I'm out of town this weekend.

I ended up riding Aliso-Wood yesterday, started at around 9:00 climbed all the way to Cholla, on my way up I meet a really nice guy named Scott that was a great guide we came down Rock-It first then he left and I went back up and did Lynx the second time around then went backup again via Cholla to go down Car Wreck the third time around I have to say what a great experience that was 700 ft down in less than 3/4 of a mile :-)
Hopefully tomorrow I get to ride El Morro.
Any suggestions as which trails to ride are welcome.
