About 30 minutes from one of SoCal's premier singletrack rides, The Santa Ana River Trail (Unfortunately, it's probably covered in snow right now.).

We have some decent local rides as well. It's not world-class mountain biking, but there are plenty of fun trails I can ride without ever having to climb into a car. I hafta ride 3 - 5 miles of road to get to the trailheads, but that's free training miles .

Hey Grampa, I grew up in La Mirada Go Matadores!

Live in Santa Clarita area now and work in Thousand Oaks. Decent riding is everywhere I go. Los Robles, Sycamore Canyon, Ojai, Castaic Lake, Towsley Canyon are the ones I frequent most.

A caffeinated night ride sounds cool. Since I just sent my rear shock in to Push I won't be riding for a bit. I just might stop by, grab a cup of dark roast and talk bikes. When do you work there?

Mission Viejo, but props to the 909ers, I work out there and commute the Ortega Highway on two wheels ( motorized of course). Anybody get together regularly in south county for rides? I need some new company. Tired of jsut me and my mp3 player on the trail.
