I want to build a singlepeed wheelset light enough for XC but strong enough to ride agressively

Try ProBuilt Wheels. They are in Sorrento Valley. www.probuiltwheels.com

North of the Border has build two 29er wheelsets of my, and Probuiltwheels has built one set of 29er wheels sets. All wheelsets where built with the same rims, spokes, nipples, and hubs.

I found that the wheels that where built at North of the Border, have held up far better, and have not needed to me messed with, while the wheels from Probuilt have been in twice to be cleaned up. Just my two cents.

Mike builds a great wheel at North of the Border!
