I'm in SoCal for a week and looking for single track trails near Thousand Oaks.

Casey you are in luck - there are plenty right here in TO.

Right in town you have Los Robles which is nice - and also Wildwood Park. Then over in Newbury Park you have Sycamore Canyon which goes down to the ocean and a decent trail network. Over in Agoura you have Cheseboro Canyon which is also a nice little trail network.

In addition to all of that you have the trails of Kanan - Backbone and such.

Here is a link to a site with a lot of local trails on it. http://venturacountytrails.org/TrailMaps/MapsHome.html

Depending on when you are wanting to ride, hit me up and I would be happy to show you around on some of them.

Kirk, I'll probably return to Nor Cal on Sunday, don't know for certain. I'm available everyday.
The Chumash-Hummingbird looks like a fun DH. I looked for the trail head today, but couldn't find it. I don't mind a climb but I'm not a pain jockey. A climb with a fun tech DH is where it's at for me.
Ventura County puts out some really nice trail info.

    TO trails

If you looking for a good climb and techy singletrack DH Overlook to Guadalasca definitely fits that description in Pt Mugu St. Park.

Otherwise great single track can be found at the convenient Space Mountain (Los Robles) and my personal favorite is Sheep Corral trail at Cheesboro.

Have fun, wish I could join you.

    Casey,

Sorry I did not reply - I have been busy and did not look at MTBR (send a PM and it forwards to my email).

In any case, I am available - heck I ride Los Robles/Space Mountain as my commute home form work most days.

    Kirk
