This year we are moving the venue to Frank Lane Park, right in the heart of Julian. We have changed the course this year to give us more single track, more miles, and more fun. Course distances range from 22 to 40 miles.
More information can be found here: http://www.julianactive.com/tour de julian.htm
Our mountain bike courses gives you many options. 22 miles with around 2200 feet of climbing or other courses ranging up to 40 miles with even more climbing. Much of the course overlaps sections of the famous Julian Death March. Our optional loop takes in Rodriguez Canyon and climbs up Oriflame Canyon. Dirt roads, single track, awesome views and fantastic downhills.
We are excited about our new start finish area which is right in Julian. Down the street is the new Bailey's Bar B Q with an improved menu and several micro brews on tap. Bring the family and make a weekend of it. Shopping, dining and lodging within walking distance.
We are offering prizes from local merchants including, dining, lodging and other attractions.
After the ride enjoy world famous Julian Pie and ice cream.
This is a two day event. Ride one day or both. MTB rides on Saturday November 5th and our road rides on Sunday November 6th.
More details upcoming. For complete details visit our web page at HOME
You decide the day of which route you wish to do. The course will be marked prior to the ride and cheat sheets will be handed out the day of the event.
awesome thanks. i just went ahead and registered yesterday and it only charged me for the adult saturday amount, so the tandem thing seems like it was just a mistake, glad you were able to fix the form.
We now have the MTB route posted on Geoladders. Route listed is just short of 35 miles. Can be shortened to about 22 miles with about 2400 feet of climbing or lengthened to around 40 miles with even more climbing.

Weather forecast for the Tour de Julian is looking good. It will be cool with highs in the mid 50's in Julian but it will be sunny. The lower elevations of the course will be warmer. We suggest a top layer, tights and long finger gloves. You can still register online and guarantee yourself an event shirt. There will be day of registration but shirts will be optional and limited. We hope to see you there!
Weather was sunny on Saturday, but snow at the upper elevations. The road ride on Sunday had some brave hardy souls out there. Thank goodness the rain held off.
A big thanks to Clif bar for helping to sponsor us!
