People have posted plenty of stuff about it on STR. I'm also surprised that the first 24hr of OC MTBR post was today.

its more than just a club and there only about 50 members it s not easy to get into you have to be dedicated. and if it wasn't for the Warriors many trail would not be maintained or even open to biking at all.

    Great ride today

It was another incredibly well run event put on by the Warrior's Society. It's not every day that you get to refuel on the main divide with a rootbeer float. The temperatures were good and the trails were in great shape, but my luck at cards and my skill at darts left me a ways down the prize list. I actually needed a shorter water bottle, so it worked out fine, but the R7 was a nice prize for a day's ride, and there was plenty of other great swag for the top 1/2 or so of the riders (or anyone in need of XXL sized biking attire).

It seems like the Warrior's Society events attract a more relaxed crowd than some of the other organized events, but they still get some really strong riders out. I spent quite a bit of the ride trading places with a really good female rider. I meant to compliment her riding, but didn't take the opportunity before she left. If you were wearing a 24 Hours of Adreneline jersey, nice job. I was the guy in the Dirt Rag jersey.

Yeah, I'll be there. Still haven't made a decision on the forks, but we can talk about it.

    Hi Tink,

This was my second year doing the Toad ride and it was a great ride, even though I finished in the back. Thanks for the sweep up to the horseshoes. I was the guy on
    the silver Epic.
On another note, I did find a pair of sunglasses on the upper part of Holy Jim.
If anyone can ID them I'll make sure they get them back.

    Thanks again,

hi david! good job on the finish! it was a hot day! we waited at horsethief for 30 min or so for the last rider to come through before we headed down, so we were pretty far back, too. what a blast, even though i missed the prizes!

PM me on the details of the glasses & i'll forward the info to chris in case anyone's looking for the them.

    see ya on the trails!

When I was at the top of Holy Jim there was a guy who was asking around about a pair of sunglasses that he had lost on the way up. I know he told some of the guys from WS his name and plate # so it might be worth sending an email to WS to see if they can track down the owner.

I worked the RootBeer Float/Horseshoes Station this year. It was great to see the event be about the ride and not the race. I first noticed it was about the ride when Chopper was the second person to the station! I got to see many familiar faces and meet many new ones.
Great job to all that finished!

I'm going to use this post to thank the WS sweep rider who followed me down Trabuco on Saturday, I'm the guy on the silver Epic. After going OTB twice last year on that trail I didn't think I'd do much better this year. But having someone to talk with on the way down and not wanting to keep you out there any longer than necessary gave me the confidence to ride it out.
Maybe next year I'll show up with 7in of travel,

    Thanks again

    David
