I rode Cuyamaca week ago, looks just the same. MANY trees on the west side.

Could take a while to clear I imagine.

It's Cuyamacha State Park. Noble, and the rest of all southern California National Forests are still closed until further notice. SDMBA will probably raannounce their canceled trail maintenance shortly after the forest reopens.

I agree. Riding pics rule. Gaping pics dont.

If that's where I think it is that one looking down shows the trail in really damn good shape. V or P in L?

yeah... crazy. the morning of the fires, i did a run at noble and we had to stop short on the road up due to a falling tree. we were all kind of tripping out that it was so windy and a tree fell. As a joke Lauren (I think) said, "it would be a trip if we saw a tree fall". Shortly after, BAM!, a big as pine fell. One of the fallen trees was absolutely massive and right acress the trail... it was a bit of a challenge to get our stuff over. We had three flats that day and we were quite cautious on where we stopped to change 'em out for obvious reasons!

who woulda thunk that little fire we saw on the way up would have become so massive??

Just spoke to someone at the ranger station in the descanso district. I was told that Cleveland will re-open at 12:01am on Saturday. All areas north of I-8 would be open but road closures for vehicles is in effect. My group and I were hoping to ride Noble on Saturday but may choose to wait until '08.

    Just an FYI

So if the trail opens at 12:01 AM, why will you have to wait?? "OPEN" means "OPEN" right?? 12:01 AM Saturday doesn't mean Saturday night/Sunday morning. That means Friday night/Saturday morning.
I hope you have a big trunk... 'cuz I'm puttin' my bike in it.

Maurice - you should be good to go.

I'm sure Steve and Mark will be out there assessing the damage. So, if you see a tall skinny guy on a clothes hanger bike, tell him I said hi

You wish Marv.....I meant how the hell does kickers or dirt have anything to do with where a steep rock face roller is? Once again.....no sense at all and no reference to kickers.
