Park at the High School or the dirt parking lot just past the High School. Cross the street and you'll see the opening in the white fence. Start there.

    Careful

The fence is up at the entrance inside the neighborhood where some guy use to put up the private property signs. The spot where you enter from the highschool side is infested with goatshead thorns so enter as close to the light as you can and not the second opening in the railing and you can avoid them if you stay on the trail until you cross the service road.

    dirt lot

Park at the dirt lot just past the school parking lot. Go through the white fence across the street.
It is about an 18 mile ride. Once you pass the water treatment plant and are into the main canyon start looking for single track. The main fireroad through the canyon is BORING and sandy.
Also, keep an eye out for white Jeep Cherokees and Humvees under the powerlines that you will be going under. They are military vehicles. Turn back when you see them.
I have only seen them once in 30? rides.
