Sullivan Canyon creek should be flowing

Can't wait for trails to dry up from the recent rain so I ride Sullivan Canyon and see the creek flowing with water.

Speaking of Sullivan Canyon, what amount of time does one usually wait after the rains to go riding? I'm a newbie and I don't want to contribute to trail damage. Sullivan Canyon is my regular trail.

Sullivan Canyon takes a little longer to dry up because it's so shaded by the trees down there.

I typically wait about at least 3 days after the last day of rain. The lower section is is mostly gravel, so that part dries in no time. It's the latter half near the end and the climb up to Sullivan Ridge that is dirt.

That's good to hear that you are respectful of the trails.

Where is this trail, I always ride south OC and want to try some other trails, Sullivan Canyon sounds pretty scenic.

EDIT: Bring a bell when you ride this trail. There are alot of walkers and dogs on it. There are a handful blind corners.
