    Southridge Race #3

The third race out of five and the weather was great. It was overcast the whole day which kept the temps chilly. Of course it got warm when your climbing the first 2 miles. Even after the recent rains we had the trails seem to hold up well. Probably some little puddles here and there, but no mud-fest. The trail was mostly sandy and the single track was just damp. It was a fun race and I got 1st place [size=1](out of one....) [size=2]with a time of 48.09 min. Where to next? probably SJT next sun or mon if it doesnt rain. Anyone wanna join?

    Here are some shots:

    Southridge Race Update

I was there too. It was a great day for racing. The recent rains made for a very grippy (but slow) course, and the weather was nice and cool.

I took second (for the second race in a row) in the mens' 27-34 sport class. Sadly, I lost to the same guy as last time, but I my overall time was 3min faster, and his margin of victory wa 1 minute less. So I'm getting faster.

But I'm still feeling the effects of all the holiday cheer...Not to worry. Its still winter and its a LONG racing season.

For those interested in the next race (in two weeks) you can find info at southridgeusa.com

    Some info about the course

The mileage I got from my computer said 7.58 miles. Southridge says it is about 8.75 miles per lap. So its in between there. Its a really great race if you guys havent tried it. The next one is on Feb 27. I always try pre-ride the course the day before and to get familarize with the trail.

BTW nice meeting you bert. Good job on first place!!
