I think it's been there since before the last big fire torched it and the whole Hodges area, maybe the Witch fire so it's likely 10 years give or take. Probably was stolen and froaded, I was riding Hodges and saw the tire tracks going up the front of the hill so I rode up and over down to it while it was still pretty fresh.

I had ridden Cheseboro regularly for almost 2 years before I discovered this trail and man, its such a blast!!
Alcohol may lead nowhere, but it sure is the scenic route!

Yep. When you get to Sheppards Flat make a right and enjoy. I start at Victory instead of Cheseboro. Here's a link:

Plus the little wooded section is tight and twisty fun too . . . though the climb out of that canyon back to Cheseboro lot is a real biiiiiiiiiitch. I think I've seen 20%+ grade on the climb out

I wish they would get rid of the concrete pavers and just make good dirt berms at Snow Summit. I understand why they need them in Mammoth where the dirt is so sandy, but it's not the same in Big Bear. The dirt is better and they don't need the pavers.

I am sure they had good reasons for it. When it gets really dry the trail crew has to water most of the dirt berms to keep them from being destroyed, perhaps the sections with Pavers are harder to get Hoses too, or they are more prone to erosion in general?
