    Singletracks

    Hi everyone,

Rode El Prieto singletrack this weekend for the first time and had a blast. The variation of terrain was something Ive been looking for. However, due to the tight switchbacks you cant really go on smooth transitions and slows you down. Are there other trails similar to El Prieto that is better in the area? Any recommended trails will be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Try Backbone off Temescal Peak. Super fast with fun water bars and no switchbacks.

I assume this is a joke, but if not, it is pretty irresponsible to advertise lower Merrill has a "DH" trail. I'd recommend against riding down it at all, DH or otherwise, given the huge volume of hikers one typically encounters. It is a very nice ride going up however.

To the OP, you might also try the La Tuna Canyon loop. A nice bit of single track there...
