And what is wrong with that?

P.S. The camping fee at Sea Otter is as expensive as a motel in Salinas.
P.P.S. Avoiding the parking lot and the daily drive to the venue sure is convenient.
P.P.P.S. Not that I have nor will camp there.

Typically camping is 22 bucks at Laguna Seca - Whether you like it or not it's 180 bucks now - I can get a hotel cheaper than that, but that's not the point.

Yeah dude, camping is expensive! We were going to take my buddy's pop up trailer until we found out we could stay at a Howard Johnson suite 12 miles away for about 130 per night!.

I know someone that has an extra campsite, if your heart is set on camping. I think he said it was $50 (he reserved a while ago and hoped more friends would be out with him)

I think Padre's joking. He doesn't strike me as a internet forum jerk.

My point was/is.... i don't like taking 2 days off work, saving up money, then living like I'm homeless while I ride/race all day...then have to spongebath outdoors or listen to the DHers a the next site over drink "natural ice" all night.

my comment was lighthearted for sure... it wasn't about money persay...since I def. don't have a lot of it.

i'd just prefer a hot clean shower (that I don't have to hike to), quiet sleeping environment, and dude... who can't say no to a continental breakfast? =)
