    New question here. SART Conditions?

Got a group ride up there on the 13th. Starting at Jenk's Lake Road and up Poop-out, then down to South Fork CG, across 38 and down SART to at least Glass Road.
Anybody done this lately? Whazit like?
    Anybody wanna go?

I was up there last weekend and I'll be up there again tomorrow.

Conditions are basically as good as it gets. No downed trees, very few washouts, no snow, moderate temps and refreshing water crossings.

I'll be there tomorrow too. I got the stomach bug yesterday, and am hoping I'll be to full strength by then. How large are the water crossings? Small enough to stay dry? What kind of clothing for the ride? Long sleeve jerseys?

That all depends....how good are you at shimmying across logs?

You should be able to stay dry....I did.

As for clothes...it's pretty warm up there.

Beautiful conditions today. I echo Donkeys comments.

I just wish I stopped to soak in the views a little more

OK, conditions look good so our crew is heading up there this Saturday. We're meeting at the B of A in Anaheim Hills on Imperial Hwy and Santa Ana Cyn @ 0700 for OC carpool, and then at Angelus Oaks store @ 0830 (+/- 15 min) for caravan to below Jenks Lake Road.

SART was awesome! Weather was perfect: mid 70's, sunny, light breeze. Bugs weren't too bad, still at 5mph stage. But huge swarm of bees on Stetson Ranch Road (1N86), mostly up in the trees though. Everything was clear, 'cept some sections on "Trail of the Unknown", but most folks never ride that part.
I may head back up Sunday for a little recon to patch together a new loop. PM or e-mail me if you wanna go.

"trail of the unknown" is unfamiliar to me...unless I refer to it by a different name.....where is it?

Tell us about the loop you're piecing together...sounds interesting.
