    SART condition?

Does anyone know the conditions of Santa Ana River Trail? I was there three months ago and saw lots of fallen trees that blocked the trail. Any information will be appreciated.

I rode SART 2 weeks ago but only the section east of Glass Rd to the campground. There were 3-4 8" trees we cut that were crossing the trail and a couple other sections we cleared debris from. There are still 3 big trees that need to be cleared (too big for my saw). The trail itself is in good shape other than being a little loose in spots. From what I've heard the sections west of Glass Rd. are worse as far as tree blockage.

    Any recent updates?

I'm looking to go this weekend, but keep hearing it's still too messy and there are lots of tree obstacles.

Any first-hand accounts would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    D

If it's any help I rode it 3 weeks ago.But only from up behind the Post Office down to the Middle Control Rd,then across the M C Rd to the last mile or so of single track where it drops you back onto the fire road/double track heading up to Glass Rd.It was littered with downed trees from the stroms and debris from the logging of the dead trees. It's normally a fast flowing 11/4hr loop.It took me 13/4hrs,with lots of dismounts and NO FLOW
