I have been looking forward to this for months. Always lots of good scores to be had. Last year I got a brooks b72 for $62 bucks brand new. New Nevegal 2.35's for $12 bucks each. Small bottles of white lightning for 2 bucks. Lots of great deals. I always stock up on general maintenance and replacement parts like chains and brake pads because they are cheap and you know you will need them eventually.

Quite a disappointment this year. Entry fee was raised to $5 bucks from $3 bucks last time. You can't tell me operating costs have increased by more than 50%. There were almost no small private sellers. They were all shops getting rid of old stuff. Prices were too high. Selling a pair of shorts for $25 dollars that can be had normally for $30 just isn't a swap meet deal. None of the shop sellers would barter. Most of the buyers I talked to were very disappointed.

They had over 3500 buyers this year at 5 bucks a pop. Thats $17500 just from people walking in.

I don't know, I found some $10 tires and saw some great deals on a variety of parts and complete bikes. It was probably the largest Velodrome swap meet I've been to in terms of vendors and a lot of quality parts.

I missed the opportunity to save money on parts. Murphy's law dictates I'll break something on the bike this week........

    Dang.

I guess it is hit or miss. You never really know what will be there. I suppose I was spoiled by previous findings.
