I rode Spring Canyon on Friday and it wasnt too bad. a little damp. mud by the 52. A friend and I rode same place today around 4 and there was some sticky mud just before the 52. Friend had a 3 inch thick wedge between tire and fork at one point. Once we got past the 52, it cleared up. was nice and cool out. we are used to riding in warmer weather since we just started riding this past summer.

dont worry im very conscious of the environment. the trails we rode were not washed out in any way shape or form, also it was hardly rain, just that light mist that we are all familiar of. the ground was more damp than wet.

Must be from the great NW. My brother from Portland OR made plans months ago to be here THIS WEEK for riding. We made it to SJT just in time to be rained on just a mile before we got to Cocktail Rock. Coming down the terra firma was so much more firm and grippy. But I was cold and miserable by the time I hit the bottom. Only a belly full of food from El Molina corrected that

anyone been to anderson since the rainstorm I imagine it would be perfect, just enough to make the trails grab and not too much to make them a mud fest.

Aside from a couple spots on the fireroad I don't think I've ever seen a mud fest at Anderson. That place is on a short list of trails that are perfect after the rain.

I rode Sycamore 1 day after the rain knowing that it had been so dry that the water would just get soaked up quick. I was perfect, no puddles or mud just nice tacky dust free singletrack. Some SD local trails are fine after the rain. Hodges drains well as does the northern part of Sycamore and the east side of Daley.

I rode PQ Black Mtn. Wednesday night after the last rain. Perfect. No dust, barely a puddle on the lower portion of the main fireroad.
    If not biking, then what?

Don't worry about the rain until you need fenders.
Look for the decomposed granite trails.

Count your blessings, we might have an inch and a half of rain by tomorrow night.

I had to dry mine out too after I came home to a puddle behind the passenger seat. Thankfully it's not my daily driver.

BTW, let me know if you ever want to get that thing dirty. I wheel quite a bit during desert season.
