Ride Report - San Juan Trail

WOW! I rode the Saun Juan trail on Sunday and the conditions were the best I have ever seen. The recent rains packed the trail down perfectly. There was enough moisture in the trail to be tacky but not enough to drag on you while climbing. The weather was also awesome, 50 degrees when we started and about 72 when we finished.

    Early morning climbing

Billy on his shiny new bike.

Seth climbing back toward Cocktail Rock later in the day.

Billy and Miles almost back to Cocktail Rock.

I actually managed to stop on the way down to take a picture. Billy coming down.

Once again it was an awesome day at SJT.

Wow, that brings back memories. I cut my teeth on that trail in the late 80s when there were as many runners as mtbers on it.
When did Smokers Rock get renamed Cocktail Rock?
