    Races in SoCal

I've thought it over a couple times and I've decided to try my hand at racing...

I know of the Sea Otter, but that's all the way up in Monterey...
Are there any races within a 50 mile radius of LA that are junior/newbie friendly?

Thanks a lot for any input...

Try out the southridge races as Poster Nutbag mentioned. They are a lot cheaper compared to the TBB ones and its really fun. The course is great and lots of stuff happening there. The winter series just finished and now its the spring fling series. The next race is on the April 9/10

MBA had the dates of the all the races happening in the California area.

I'd highly recommend Sea Otter as your first race. The course is scenic and very fun and not too hard. Since there's so many people racing it has a 'fun ride' quality about it. You also get to spend a weekend at one of the largest bike events out there with a killer bike expo.
