Palm Springs/Desert rides

Heading out to palm desert for the weekend.. Thinking about hitting the palm canyon trail... Any thoughts on that ride or other areas--- idylwild(hurkey creek) looks like it might have some fun rides... Plus if anyone wants to join in cool.. Its raining here it Santa Barbara-- so ill be nice to be in the sun and on the trail ..

Art Smith and Hahn Buena Vista are awesome! Fun techy trails great after a sprinkle.

If you can get a shuttle ride to Pinyon Pines (top), do the epic!
In my opinion, it just might be the best ride in southern California. Bring leg armor because there's lots of sharp pokey plants hanging over the air space of the trail. Most people meet up at Vons (4733 East Palm Canyon Drive) around 7:00-8:00 am to organize shuttles.

Check Mountain Bike Bill for route info for the palm canyon epic and other rides in the area.

Bring your all mountain tires. The trails haven't seen rain in way too long. They are loose and dusty. We need rain!

I'm local and will be riding Sunday. Palm Canyon is a possibility -- definitely riding somewhere around the desert. Message me if interested in riding.

Palm Canyon is going off tomorrow, Sunday 12/2. Meet at Rimrock at 7AM in Cathedral City. We have shuttle arrangements for our group + Okie Dokie. Arrange your shuttle and come prepared if you want to join.

If u make it to idyllwild, which I highly suggest, go to the hub cyclery an ask them about the hub trails, stuff from xc to full gnar out there, and u can ride all the way to hemet!
