    Newport

Last minute trip planned to Newport beach for this weekend. I'll have a few hours Saturday and Monday to ride. Are there any fun trails in the area or should I just bring my roadie?

    Thanks.

    From PCH
    Go up Newport Coast drive.
turn right on Ridge Park rd. take it all the way to the top and park.
take the FR down, then up, then down, then make a right and go through the gate.
Take the first left and you are on fenceline/missing link singletrack. It'll cross two FRs and then eventually reach the highest point, with a view of the ocean. You can return the same way.

There's lots of fun s/t in Laguna Coast, although much of it is currently undocumented. Camarillo, Stagecoach, and Old Emerald are some of the better trails. You could download a map, park at the end of Ridge Park Rd., hit Fenceline/Missing Link (see above) and explore. Have fun!

That's for the great advise! Those fire roads kicked my ass today! You guys have some good trails out here. I wish I had more time to explore.
