Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Mountain Lion Sited on BlackStar Trail

I was climbing up BlackStar Canyon yesterday around 5:15 PM. I was about 60 - 70% of the way to the top when I saw a grey mountain lion about the size of Geman Shepard about 100 meters ahead of me walking down the trail. It walked about 3 meters, and then jumped off the trail and back into the bush. I decided at that point that I'd had enough and turned around.

I saw a mtn lion and cub years ago in that field on the right about 1/4 mile past the lower gate. I wouldn't have even noticed except 'blackstar bill's' wife had stopped her suv on the side of the road and pointed them out to me.

I've never seen a grey one, the three I've seen were tan-ish. BTW, it's taken 25 years for me to get to three.
