... and if we just ... Mission trails Regional park

    Hi,

Im gonna go riding the MTB burm track at mission trails this afternoon. You know right down from Fortuna mountains on the west side, in that big green valley. I think they Call it Spring canyon, or Shepherds canyon. I ride here a few times a week by myself.

I was wondering if anyone wanted to get together some time and ride. I am an expert. I could ride 20 miles like its nothing. Heavy technical Downhill, XC dirtjumping, Wheelies.....

I'm a real practical rider. I ride a hardtail GT with upgraded components.

You name it. Just send me an email or text me. I get tired of riding alone.

Wheres the camaraderie?! Most of you guys are kooks. step it up!

i like how you wonder why there is no camaraderie, then immediately call everyone a kook. THATS the way to get people to ride with you...

don't experts usually know other experts..

    how old are you anyway?

Dude, do not question his ability! Remember, he's an "expert."
    If not biking, then what?

Play nice boys! And twenty miles on a MTB is a good ride, don't care who you are.

Expert can mean many different things to many different people. I think the suggestion is that he isn't going to be an achor on a trail ride.

I'd suggest hanging out at the Mast Blvd parking lot of Mission Trails in the morning and
hook up with a group that show up. Also try Noble Canyon, I'd bet you would like that.
Addicted to the dirt......with no hope for recovery.

Funny post. Might get people who are not calf native to ride with you but the majority of riders out here are ... I don't know about most riders but I'm always armed when I ride mt or road. If you have a good light set over 800 lumans you are welcome to do a night ride but bring your own first aid kit and we like to climb....

our little group is always open to new rides but I think 20miles is a bit out of our skill range, we usually do some trail riding tues/thurs after work for about an hour or so (7-10 miles). no wheelies or DJ but we love us some single track and down hills

as for riding armed there are more than a few LEO's out there riding armed....its a VERY popular sport for law enforcement....but I just carry a pig sticker and a whistle

an LEO riding armed in one thing... I guess I was picturing some cowboy that happens to have a concealed carry permit... I guess my question is has anyone ever needed protection while on a Saturday morning trail ride?

Once again more calf people just not understanding... to bad. Armed can mean a varity of things. Mace, tazer, gun ect. Night riding by yourself puts your safety in your own hands. I have to ride at night due to work and finishing off my degree. I ride the ortegas and other canyons. There are a number of grow opperations in the ortega mt and night time is when those people who stock them move goods and plants. If you come accross them at night at least you could fight back. Or fight back aginst an animal. Do you want your wife / kids to grow up with out a father? When I was in the military I promised my girlfrind, wife that I would always win any fight...I made it home and I still plan to come home each night. I also shoot eaqch week and just took 2nd place at work with our 38 specials. So not scarry. Man up

    K

I dont think being "good enough" matters. You just need to find someone with your level or someone who doesnt mind riding with others with the possibility to slow it down or wait for you. lol.
