Take a look at the above site, and you will have a better idea (a picture by picture walk through of the trail). They even provide Garmin Edge routes.

    Have fun.

Thanks for the tip, I will also drop by the lbs in that area and ask for a trail map if they have one.

Here's a recent ride that has lots of info that might help. I ride there often Incycle in San Dimas I'm sure has maps.
I suggest maybe all the way up to Potato Mountain. As you're reaching the last 100' to the tank look for a brown metal sign with a triangle on top (right side) 15' past that is the start of singletrack back down to the fireroad. Also while in CWP (Claremont Wilderness Park) on Burbank Trail have someone show you the singletrack leading back into Marshall is pretty fun.

Here's the RR for that ride.Pure craziness!! YES!!

Depending what you threw in after Potato guessing 20 miles but there are so many routes you could take on the way back some that lead to our local play areas. Leading to Potato once you're going down Cobal at CWP you'll know the cutoff to Potato cause there's a big tank there on the left. Then a few miles up and it's all uphill you'll come to an obvious cutoff to Potato to the right. Towards the top of Potato gets loose and a challenging climb. The view from the top is killer though!!

Just a suggestion maybe join and post to see if one of them would like to join in who has done the route and could show some of the different trails?. A ton of advanced riders there frequent the area plus being a local site you'll get a ton of answers to questions concerning your route. Wish I could help but for one my pace is wayyyy too slow for advanced riders.

I just did Marshall this morning. If you start from the bottom of potato mtn. It is 14 mile from there to the mesa parking lot. The route I take is 4 mile fire raod climb to marshall gate. Then 1/2 fireroad down to the first left hand trail a double track for a 1 mile. Connects back to the fire road for another 1.5 miles down to second trail sign on your left hand side. Take that for trail and stick the right for the next 7 or 8 mile back to oak mesa lot. Its one of my favorite rides I do it about 3 time a month. Ben
