LA/OC - Anything open this weekend?

    Fullerton - closed
    Aliso - closed
    El Moro - closed
    Whiting - closed

Anything open this weekend in the LA or OC area? Heck I'll even go to the 909, I'm that desperate!

Santiago Truck Trail/Old Camp = open
    Blackstar/Silverado Motorway = open

Most 'parks' are going to be closed (most likely) for the next few days. I'm riding asphalt tomorrow myself....

Thanks man. I was thinking about San Juan, but Santiago could be fun.

They'll be closed for a few days, till more rain is here, then they'll be closed some more

    El Moro

Called El Moro today to check their status. The ranger said it would probably be a couple months before the trails are open to bikes again. I hope she was just effin with me. Rode Maple Springs this afternoon. Lots of water but easily do-able. (I didn't spot any bikes)

If you have hiked up the mountains you wouldn't believe how much water is in the ground. One trail has 4 river crossings when there was never one. I know you guys are jonseing to ride but maybe you can lay off the trail one weekend more and volunteer to do some trail work

Harding has held up prety well. I rode there last night. Was OK. Black Star to Motorway seems OK also. The first flat part of Black Star sucks(mud). I'm also riding road this weekend.

Most areas in LA don't close after it rains. Many of the trails are in surprisingly good shape. Others, not so good.
Buy a bell, help the trails....

I rode Majeska this morning. Trail was great but The Luge got a little muddy, say 6+ inches. Overall, it was a great ride. We saw lots of creeks filled to the edges.

    The SM's never close...

so if you're ok with fire roads, go there. I rode a little of Westridge before it got dark and it looked fine - no mud.

This afternoon I must've seen at least 50 bikes swarming up to the trails here. OC people must take advantage of the open trails...

    Whiting

Whiting Ranch was open Saturday. Some trails were closed. Lots of water, some mud. Some of the fire road at the bottom is completely gone.

Whiting was indeed open over the weekend but very muddy.

Peter's Canyon was open and has become a little more interesting after the rain.

Santiago Oaks was closed. Apparently the dam is overflowing a tad.
