Julian Death March Saturday October 25th, 2014

We are announcing our fall edition of the Julian Death March.
Slated for Saturday October 25th, 2014.
We have changed the ride distances to 50 and 72 miles, based upon rider feedback. We are eliminating Rodriquez and Oriflame Canyons from the mix. I know everyone is going to be crushed with this decision!
This will give more riders the opportunity to ride the Santa Ysabel open space preserve.
So pick your poison 50 or 72 miles with either 6500 or 9500 feet of climbing.
We are offering an early bird discount for those that register this month (July). Only $79!
For registration go to webscorer at: Julian Death March MTB Endurance Race | Event registration | Webscorer
For event info go to our main web page at: HOME

Still want to go, don't think I can get my wife and kids to go. (I have not told them about the gold mine I might be able to get them to go)

If I turn out going by myself anyone else going to be there alone?

Want to hook up for a beer and some food night before?

Not sure where I will be staying. I have lots of hotel points but they all are about 1 hour away.

Might just have to stay in Julian.

We plan on offering a 22 mile fun ride the day of the race. It will be the last part of the 72 mile ride and will start later so the fun riders can ride along with the racers. This section takes in the beautiful Santa Ysabel Open Space preserve. Registration for the fun ride will be up soon.

I see on the website they recommend riding the course before the race. This is not a possibility for me, is it a fairly well marked course?

It is very well marked and easy enough to navigate. Just study the route sheet before hand! On a side note i am looking to start pre-riding the course soon so if anyone wants a guide or riding partner feel free to message me!

If you have ever thought about doing the Julian Death March, now is the time! 2014 will be our final year for the Julian Death March.
We would like to thank all of those who have participated in this epic event the last 20 plus years and particularly to our fine volunteers who have made this event possible.

We are just a little over 2 weeks out. Celebrate R&B Bicycle Club's final Death March event. This should be a lot of fun and with our course change, more riders than ever will be able to take in the final loop in the beautiful Santa Ysable Open Space Preserve.

Lots of reasons but we are going to focus on fewer events (mostly road rides) and we are going in some other directions business wise.
Lots of good memories and in 2012 I was able to do the whole 86 mile loop and last year my wife did the 50 mile loop. We hope to have a good sendoff in just a few weeks.
    Plus I am getting ancient!

Click on Rich's "HOME" link above, then scroll down about 1/3 and click on the link to the course you want (e.g. 50 mile course), then click on the Geoladders download link.

Great Job by the JDM crew. Well marked trails and perfect weather ordered. I had a bit of a bad day in the saddle but overall great experience.
