Thanks for all you did. Tough day, with the winds and all. Funny how these things grab ya. Somewhere in the middle of Engineers' Rd I was thinking, "man, this is one of the worst rides I have ever been on. Why do I pay to do this to myself?"
Yesterday while driving home I was thinking of the mistakes I made on race day and wondering how much better I could do next year.
Must be crazy.
I met Brent P. at the pie shop later in the day. Really nice to talk with. So he was the guy on the cyclocross bike? Amazing. Dudes gotta have some skills to ride Kelly Ditch trail-from-hell on that bike.
Next year I will have an odometer or preload a GPS track, I will pack lighter and go faster. I swear.
I echo the thanks! Despite the gale force winds, we had a good time in a perverse sort of way! Roger was ready to sell or even give away his single speed at the end of the 3 rd loop but now is already thinking about next year.
Definitely a ride to remember and we will be back next year!
